About the Honors Program

The Honors Program at Weber State University is designed for students who want to go beyond the traditional classroom experience. It offers a community where curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking thrive. Honors courses are smaller, discussion-focused, and interdisciplinary, encouraging students to explore ideas deeply and from multiple perspectives.

Students in the program have opportunities to engage in original research, creative projects, and community-based experiences that connect classroom learning with real-world impact. The program emphasizes leadership, civic engagement, and personal growth, helping students develop skills that will serve them well beyond college. Through the capstone portfolio, students reflect on their learning journey and showcase their growth in critical thinking, interdisciplinary knowledge, and civic engagement.
